Terms & Conditions

• All prices are in Canadian funds to Canadian shipping destinations.
  
• All prices are in American funds to destinations outside of Canada.
  
• A minimum of a trio (3 animals) must be purchased to ship.
  
• All animals are shipped in  airline approved cat carriers or custom carriers that we order from our manufacturer and delivered to us.
  
• Water bottles, carriers, health certificates (for destinations outside Canada),Shipping  and animals must be paid for in full before leaving my residence.

• Holding or Reserving animals requires 50% non-refundable deposit.

Ordering,  

I do not have a cavy warehouse and sometimes will have what you want immediately, other times people wait until such animals are available.
I can sometimes estimate how long that will be and you can be placed on our waiting list, the wait can be very short a few weeks or a few months
Email us at fycavies@hotmail or cozycavy@sympatico.ca to be placed on our news group to get up to date news on the on goings within our caviary and available cavies

Once the number, and quality of cavies to be shipped has been figure out the next step is to get a carrier shipped for there transport.

Shipping Crate, should be a flight approved carrier, I normally use small cat carriers (series 100) that will hold 2 adults or 3 jr or int cavies for shipping, cost of carrier is $30 each includes feed dish and bottle, or I can place an order with our cage manufacturer and have it sent to myself the cost would be aprox $30 - $45 for a 2-4  hole custom carrier, plus $5 per water bottle

Payment,  

You will also need to send either an agreed upon deposit or payment for the cavies in full, before the cavies are shipped.
We accept payment by money order Preferred, certified cheque  or personal cheque (cavies shipped once cleared) 
A 50% non refundable deposit is required to hold all cavies

Payment must be made before shipping which include, Cavies, Carrier, water bottles, Vet Health Cert (if outside Canada) and Shipping

Aprox cost to ship a trio ! : $375, this includes shipping, carrier, water& feed container and health certs, for more than a trio the cost would be aprox $35 - $75 more, this does not include the cavies !

We only ship if your ordering 3 or more cavies, and at this time we only ship within Canada , US and Frankfurt Germany !

Other Details
Once I have the carrier, payment and the cavies are ready I will make the shipping arrangements. 

The cavies are shipped  Prepaid via Air Canada  , Northwest or Continental Airlines only, please check to see if either of these airlines have scheduled destinations in or around your area. Northwest is only used in the spring and early fall as they do not transport in a warm van. Air Canada also can only be used to most US locations from April - Oct.

Cavies are shipped to US Destinations from Monday - Friday to ensure customs offices are open to clear the animals, we normally make the shipping date for a thurs  morning or evening

Airline:

We ship via Air Canada Cargo  , this is our Airline of Choice, they are most reasonably priced and very conscientious with live animals, Air Canada ships to most International Airports, please check to see if Air Canada flies to your destination and allow live animal cargo to that destination or the closest to yourself
Shipping is out of Toronto Pearson International Airport. we also occasionally will use Continental Quick Pak or Northwest Airlines

Shipping via Continental & Northwest Airlines

We are able to ship with either of these two airlines if Air Canada is not an option, please note the cost to ship with these two airlines does cost more IE: aprox cost per 25 kilo's (3 hole carrier 3 - 6 cavies) would be approximately  $305 plus gas charges of $20 I need to charge for my traveling to the cargo building.

Shipping must be prepaid before being shipped !!!

Please call Continental or Northwest Airlines to see if they will fly to your location and that the cargo hold is climate controlled.
